Let's suppose that Yashiki does, in fact, own her. Would this make her some sort of indentured servant? It's such strange news that I don't know what to make of it, but I do intend to ask him the question directly.
Starfleet regulations on non-interference prohibit me from involving myself in most matters like this, even if I'm well-intentioned. We may all be from Earth, but any world that isn't our own should be considered alien in nature.
It's possible that they'll have customs we are unable to understand or have difficulty accepting.
